Meet Your ProDoula

Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I have one beautiful son, and am currently expecting my second child.

What led you to become a Doula?: Once I gave birth to my first child, I realized that I have a passion for uniting birthing mothers and other birth workers. I have realized that labor and birth is a beautiful and vastly different experience for each woman. My goal is to help women navigate this journey, to give them insight and empower them to make the best decisions for themselves and their families. I realized that the vast majority of the culture propagates a fear of birth, but that we can find a new and wonderful perspective of birth. I want women to be able to look ahead to, and back on, this experience with excitement and fondness.

What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:

A close friend that I was a doula for is a single, first time mother, and she was so thankful to have me
there to encourage her, talk her through what was happening, and just be with her.
