Meet Your ProDoula
Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I have received additional trainings in Prenatal and Postpartum Fitness, specifically in Yoga and Pilates. As a birth doula, I have received training in the progression of unmedicated labor through acupressure, aromatherapy, and positioning/movement. I did train to provide massage services after 37 weeks gestation. I take a homeopathic and holistic approach when caring for my clients. I offer 3 classes to my clients to prepare for their labor experience-Childbirthing, Hypnobirthing, and Birth Preferences. I have taken many breastfeeding masterclasses to perfect the art of breastfeeding. I also have professional experience as a Nanny and I am a mother myself.
What led you to become a Doula?: I have always been interested in reproductive health, it had held my attention for many years leading up to my decision to become a doula. I want the birthing individuals of my community to feel heard, safe and empowered.
What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:
I have always been told that I am dedicated, and I put my heart into my work as a doula. I have a strong passion for this field of expertise and it shows in the care I provide for my clients. I am often told that I have great attention to detail and my clients feel prepared/empowered when it comes to their labor or postpartum experiences.
