Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I love caring and supporting others. I supported my sister and also had two babies of my own.
What led you to become a Doula?: Hello my name is Marissa I am a labor doula certified through ProDoula. I am a stay at home mom of two kids that I love dearly. I have always loved helping and supporting others. From such a young age I knew I wanted to help people and it wasn’t till I had my daughter in 2018 that I knew exactly what area I waned to work in. When I had my son in 2021 I loved my OB that I had and wanted to work hands on with her so I started playing around with going to nursing school then I came across ProDoula. I started looking more into ProDoula and started to like the thought of working hands on with clients. The thing that excited me most about this was knowing I could make my own schedule, especially having two young kids of my own.
