Meet Your ProDoula
Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: As the oldest of five girls, I settled into my role as a nurturing care provider. I began babysitting in 2008 for neighborhood families and a fire was lit for being a childcare provider. In 2012 I started working as a professional nanny and four years later in 2016, graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho with a bachelors in Marriage and Family Studies.
What led you to become a Doula?: I love family! I understand the dynamics involved when two people merge their lives and create a family. I believe that human beings need support in order to thrive and that that support must be free of bias and judgment. This opinion is what took me to the next level. In 2017 I began training as a Labor Doula, Postpartum & Infant Care Doula and Infant Feeding Specialist. I knew that supporting parents from birth and moving with them into the postpartum and infant care phase of life, was my true calling. In order to compliment my professionalism and accountability, I maintains my CPR and First Aid Certifications.
