Meet Your ProDoula

Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I have experience as a nanny as well as working with children and families on various levels for several years. The bulk of my experience has been my own lived experience as I am a mother, and have unofficially supported friends and family throughout their pregnancies, labor and deliveries, postpartum periods, and beyond! Over the past several years I have dedicated countless hours on educating myself on birth, child development, and postpartum. Birthwork is a natural passion of mine, and has been a desire of mine for as long as I can remember!

What led you to become a Doula?: I have been passionate about birth for as long as I can remember! When I became pregnant with my first child, I began to put the work in to gain as much knowledge about birth and postpartum as I could to ensure that I had the experience I desired to have. From there, my hunger for knowledge continued to grow, and I quickly became the point person when it came birth preparation and postpartum advice amongst my friends and beyond! The more I was approached, the more certain I became about this being exactly what I needed to do!

What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:

I have been told that my openness about the reality paired with my knowledge of birth and postpartum is comforting and reassuring. I am relatable and make others feel seen and important; that their desires, concerns, questions, etc. are important and valid.
