Meet Your ProDoula
Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: Besides my delivery of my son, I have attended the births of my niece and nephew. I provided my sister with physical and emotional support all in my teenage years. I am also considered the mother hen of my friends, as I am the one who they go to to talk things over and vent. They know that I will listen to them and provide advice with no judgement. My parents taught me to accept everyone for who they are and to not judge them which is still my philosophy today.
What led you to become a Doula?: I have always been interested in birth, but my birth experience with my son is what what sealed the deal for me. I had a doula myself during my pregnancy and labor. Hiring a doula was the best thing that I did. Having someone there to support me and knows what I need without having to say anything was priceless. I want to give others that exact same feeling.
