Meet Your ProDoula
Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I have worked in child care for over 15 year. I have been apart of the birthing process for many families and have successfully helped to take care of the both the birthing parent and the new infant. I actively study to keep up to date on how to best physically, mentally and emotionally support new parents and infants. I am also co owner of a nanny referral agency which also helps me to stay aware of the needs of new parents.
What led you to become a Doula?: My love for caring for children came at a young age as this was also the profession of my mother. She always seemed so happy and fulfilled so I never imagined doing anything else. When I became a birth professional I new that this is what I was meant to do.
What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:
Most people say that I am warm and inviting. It is easy to confide in me. I am very knowledgeable when it comes to how to care for children and I make people feel very comfortable.
