Meet Your ProDoula

Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I’m a loving aunt to my three sweet nephews and soon to be niece. I love spending time with children and babies but more importantly supporting moms and families who need it the most.

What led you to become a Doula?: I feel like I’ve always been the friend and family member who was willing to listen to someone openly and without judgment and offer them help and support in whatever way I could, which are some of the fundamentals to doula work. Setting aside your own fears, judgments, biases to help support someone isn’t always an easy task but I feel it comes naturally to me and I’ve always been that person for others. It was definitely an easy choice to become a doula, I feel it’s what I’m meant to do.

What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:

Positive comments I’ve heard about myself are that I’m very dedicated to being a rock solid person for those whom I love and care about. I’m very trustworthy because of my consistency to be present no matter the circumstances. I’m easy to talk to and I’m very attentive to others wants/needs. I’m always observing, listening, and getting a good feel for the pulse of the environment around me and how to act accordingly from there. I’m very thorough and love preparedness. I love learning new information and I find a teacher in everyone I meet, there’s always something new to learn.
