Meet Your ProDoula

Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: I am a former Special Education teacher, where I worked in a special needs classroom and worked with children with moderate to serve special needs. Through my high school and college years, I worked at childcare facilities where I often worked in the Infant rooms.

What led you to become a Doula?: I have always had a big heart for babies and always drawn to them when entering a room! Once having my own babies, I found that I loved talking about my own experiences with birth and newborns. Even more, I loved hearing other moms talk about their own experiences. My favorite ministry to be involved within recent years has been providing meals for moms who have recently had babies! Once finding out a Postpartum Doula was an actual thing, I quickly researched and found a way to start my journey!

What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:

Organized, detail oriented, passionate, a leader, gives her best efforts, loyal and committed friend, and a good listener. Can be friends with a wide range of people while still being herself and honoring her values.
