Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: Shannon Taylor is a ProDoula certified Labor Doula, Postpartum and Infant Care Doula, Mother, Yoga Teacher, Professional Dancer and Reiki Practitioner from Philadelphia PA. Shannon has an educational background in Athletic Coaching receiving her BS from West Chester University. Shannon aspires to encourage birthing people to reclaim their power and birthing experience through physical, emotional and spiritual support.
What led you to become a Doula?: Shannon’s journey into birth work began in 2020 during her prenatal yoga training with LL Studio. Immediately, she felt the call to birth work inspired by the panel of doulas expressing their ability to offer authentic healing and support to others during the birthing process.
What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:
Shannon strongly believes in patient/family centered care. She is phenomenal with prenatal classes and great support physically and emotionally for the birthing person and their partner.
