Meet Your ProDoula

Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: On the path to becoming a postpartum doula I’ve worked in various childcare roles for close to 15 years. While working as a Teachers Assistant and Nanny, I acquired a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from University of Phoenix and a Child Life Specialist Certificate from University of California, Santa Barbara. Working in the NICU during my child life practicum led me to a passion of postpartum care. Helping multiple families as a postpartum doula and nanny, sparked an idea on how to help other families when our nation was going through unprecedented times. I started The Nanny Share Network, a childcare referral network that provides Doula and Nanny support for families. Continuing my journey as a childcare professional and postpartum doula, I now offer different childcare classes for parents, nannies, and other caregivers. These classes are made to provide knowledge and support from families and caregivers looking to specialize in newborn care.

What led you to become a Doula?: I always had a love for babies since my early childhood days. For as long as I can remember, people have called me the baby whisperer. This grew my passion for psychology, child life, and newborns which led me to have a passion for postpartum care. Working as a nanny and providing family based care during my child life practicum in the NICU, I decided it was time to become a postpartum doula. Being able to help alleviate the stress for new families at one of the most important times in their lives is one of my greatest passions. I love seeing parents grow in confidence and capability with my gentle and unbiased, family centered postpartum support.
