Meet Your ProDoula
Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: As a Nurse and experienced Doula, my goal is to give you and your family the attention and knowledge you need to make informed decisions about your pregnancy and labor. I consider myself blessed to have found such a fulfilling career. I love working with expectant parents and their families to help them navigate the birth and labor process. I look at each new birth as a unique experience and in return I provide families with the encouragement and motivation they need.
What led you to become a Doula?: After becoming a Nurse in 2012, I began to feel an overwhelming need to do more. I attended many births over the years and have always been "that Mom/Nurse friend" to call about the how to and how to nots of everything pregnancy and baby. Fast forward a few years later, a new mother called me with questions. As I spoke with her it hit me. WHY AM I NOT A DOULA?! Now, in my work, I can honestly say I feel honored to be able to share my expertise with women, men and families. As a Doula I do not provide "nursing/medical" care however, my nursing background gives me that extra knowledge that sets me apart from the rest. I approach birth holistically and without bias. Let me help you make your birth story your own.
