Background/Experience that you think is beneficial to Doula work: As a mother of 4 I have a large amount of personal experience with birth and infant care. However, I have learned through my past and recent clients that it is important to support all personal experiences and not let our own perceived idea about birth and infant care cloud how we assist a client. My experiences help me to be the best doula because I know that my own birth, newborn, and infant experience are my own and I want to help my clients have their own experiences. Not ones clouded by mine.
What led you to become a Doula?: I became interested in birth work when I was pregnant and meeting all the wonderful professionals that helped to make my experiences positive.
What are some positive comments made about you by other people?:
I have been told I am professional, a good communicator, reliable, and informed. I aim to provide educated information without judgement. I have been told I am attentive to my clients and go above and beyond to help ensure they are receiving the best care throughout their journey into parenthood.
