Meet Your Doula Trainer

Besides being a Certified Labor and Postpartum Doula in Charlotte, North Carolina, I am
also a wife to my best friend and a mom to three awesome kids who think their mom is the
coolest because she attends births and takes care of families, and newborns for a living. Before
becoming a doula, I started my journey working with families as a Certified Babywearing
Educator and shop owner of, The Cozy Kangaroo.

I’ve helped empower over 1,000 families through the art of babywearing and this passion
quickly transitioned into helping families from due date to delivery, and into the fourth
trimester as a doula.

I received my Elite Labor and Postpartum & Infant Care Doula certification, along with my
Postpartum Placenta Specialist certification from ProDoula. Soon after, Uptown Doula was
born. Within two years, I transformed my solo doula business into a full-service doula agency,
leading a team of 14 active doulas

In 2022 I took my doula career to the next level by receiving my Postpartum & Infant Care
Doula Trainer certification. My goal was to help as many new and expectant families as possible
but I’m only one person. By training other doulas, I’m able to lead other doulas on their path of
passion for birth and beyond.
